I have loved St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica for years, so when Diana and Haley approached me to be their wedding photographer I was absolutely giddy.
HISTORY
I adore architecture and this 1848 built English Gothic Revival beauty is a gem in the crown of the Roman Catholic Church’s church buildings. It’s architecture is spectacular and is recognized as the oldest building in the City of Toronto still in use for its original purpose. A fun fact is that its stain-glassed windows were hand-blown in the typical medieval style resulting in deeper colours.
RECEPTION
The beauty of their ceremony church paired with their Distillery District Reception at the classy Archeo was perfection. But, the most beautiful aspect of their wedding, were the bride and groom themselves. They endeared themselves to me with their kind, gentle manor; such an exemplary couple. When I think back on them they always make me smile. The warmth of their family and the love between them will forever stay with me.
FROM THE BRIDE
“Lisa has been a real highlight of our wedding from our engagement photos to the wedding day. We connected with her immediately and she has an amazing way of putting you at ease and getting your most loving and intimate moments to come through naturally with her great eye for framing, colors, and composition. Her photos have a great variety to them so we’re still finding amazing moments every time we go through them. Whether it was places she knew or somewhere she was seeing for the first time, she adapted wonderfully and also made a great team with our videographers! We’re so happy to have shared our celebrations with her and she will always have a special place in our heart for everything she did. We highly recommend her!”
